Serving Our Community with Compassion
Providing Food, Support, and Hope to Those in Need
Agape Love is a community-based nonprofit committed to homeless outreach and food assistance for individuals and families facing hardship in Lodi and the surrounding areas. Through weekly community meals, free meals, and food box distributions, we work to meet immediate needs while fostering dignity and care.

Our Purpose
Bringing Hope, Help, and Human Connection
We are a local, church-based homeless outreach providing compassionate food assistance and community support for those in need. Located at Gravity Church, we host a weekly community meal every Monday morning, offering a free meal alongside a worship service, prayer, and a faith-centered message. This weekly church gathering creates space for meaningful fellowship, encouragement, and connection.
In addition to serving hot meals and food boxes, we partner on site with multiple ministries to provide essential services including hot showers, clothing, care packages, medical assistance, addiction recovery support, housing resources, and access to vital social services. Together, we work to meet both immediate needs and long-term restoration with dignity, hope, and love.
Monday Outreach
Food, Faith, and Community Support
We gather as a church community to serve our neighbors through hot meals, food assistance, and compassionate homeless outreach. Our weekly community meal offers a free meal, spiritual care through worship service, prayer, and a shared message, creating space for meaningful fellowship. Through strong community partnerships, we meet people where they are—offering dignity, hope, and support that extends beyond the meal.
Hot Meals
Every Monday, rain or shine, we serve hot meals prepared by our volunteers, in our kitchen and on site on our grills.
Hot Meals
Every Monday, rain or shine, we serve hot meals prepared by our volunteers, in our kitchen and on site on our grills. We make our meals, as much as possible, from fresh and from scratch, ensuring our commitment to tasty and nutritious meals. Between 180 and 300 meals are served
on site, with to-go boxes of the remainders sent to the Lodi Access Center
during lunchtime.
Food Boxes
With increasing food insecurity in our city, and especially in our neighborhood, we frequently have requests for food boxes.
Food Boxes
With increasing food insecurity in our city, and especially in our neighborhood, we frequently have requests for food boxes. Usually able to fill up with frozen meat and single meals, mac n cheese, milk, bread and other staples, we give them away as needed, usually on Mondays and Saturdays.
Worship / Message
The physical food we provide only temporarily satisfies the needs of our guests, but what really satisfies is the spiritual food in the form of messages of faith, hope and love.
Worship / Message
The physical food we provide only temporarily satisfies the needs of our guests, but what really satisfies is the spiritual food in the form of messages of faith, hope and love. This spiritual emphasis opens doors and builds trust to begin and sustain ongoing conversations about the deeper matters of life and how to achieve permanent changes for a stable and successful life.
Prayer Team
Our prayer team provides a more focused and intentional time of listening and praying through the deeper needs of our guests. Such conversations build over time, week after week.
Prayer Team
Often prayer doesn’t give closure or settle the most troubling and deep-seated matters of the heart. Prayer is most often just the beginning of a process of helping individuals untangle decades-old problems a little at a time. It’s the long term, compacted life struggles that require long term solutions. As our prayer team gets to spend time each week with our guests, God patiently and gently meets those deeper needs. Spaces of hope open up for people, leading to faith and strength to begin tackling practical concerns that we can help them with afterwards.
Outreach ministries International: The Outreach Pipeline
A key feature of our success in helping individuals get off the streets, into recovery, and into safe, transitional living, is the interconnectedness of several ministries working seamlessly together. The core partners, under the umbrella of Outreach Ministries International, are Gravity Church, the Lodi Access Center, Agape Love and Second Step Living.
At any one of these points of access, people receive services in the form of new clothes, meals, food boxes, temporary shelter, social services, medical assistance, legal help, housing assistance and more, all in an atmosphere of compassion, competency, and commitment.
Some come to Gravity Church or the Lodi Access Center cold off the streets, get introduced to Agape Love on Mondays, and begin serving as a volunteer. They start coming to church. From there they start attending the extracurricular events: men’s or women’s events, Bible studies, recovery meetings, nursing home visitation, Agape birthday parties, etc. They eventually find work and housing, being firmly fitted into a healthy and stable way of life with others

Community Collaboration
Monday Partner Ministries
Our partner ministries include Showered With Love Mobile Showers, Take a Chance with Christ Clothing, Body & Soul care packages, Sidewalk Angels, and Community Medical. In addition, social workers, recovery and detox clinics, counseling services, and other local agencies are often on site to provide support for a wide range of needs.
Each Monday morning, our time and location function as a central hub for homeless outreach and community assistance, bringing together food support, health services, recovery resources, and compassionate care in one place. Through these partnerships, we are able to serve our community in a comprehensive, coordinated, and dignified way—meeting immediate needs while helping individuals take meaningful next steps forward.
